WELCOME
BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN CLINICAL EXCELLENCE & TRADITIONAL PRACTICES.

KWE'!
My name is Leurette C. LaBobe, I am a Mi'kmaq/Maliseet woman from Membertou First Nation, and I am a Master of Social Work- Indigenous Field of Studies graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University in October of 2025.
I am an Indigenous Clinical Specialist (Provisional) with 13 years in the helping field. My work centres around Indigenous mental health, addiction recovery, and aftercare supports rooted in culture, safety, and lived experience.
I have experience working as a Intake & Investigations Social Worker, a Mental Health Clinician, a Health Director, and then as a Mental Health & Addiction- Social Worker in my community since June of 2025.
I am very passionate about mental health & addiction issues in Our Indigenous communities, because of my own trials & tribulations. But also inspired me to want to create more wellness in Our Indigenous communities.
My healing journey has been both personal and professional- guided by love for my five children, cultural practices such as beadwork and movement, and the enduring memory of my best friend, Carissa Saray LaBobe.
This journey has shaped not only who I am, but how I walk alongside of others. For over eight years, I have been committed to healing from intergenerational trauma, grief, and loss, and I remain deeply grateful for the teachings that continue to guide my family and my work.
I believe healing is most powerful when it is culturally grounded, trauma-informed, and led by Indigenous voices.
My vision is to expand accessible, Indigenous-led aftercare services that honour our stories, our resilience and our right to heal in ways that feel safe and true.
